A note on official word lists
Competitive Scrabble and Words with Friends use their own official dictionaries (such as the TWL or SOWPODS word lists), which include many words not in everyday use, and occasionally exclude words that seem common. This tool checks against a general English word list rather than an official tournament dictionary, so always confirm an unusual word against your game's built-in checker before playing it.
Getting the most from your rack
Type in all the letters currently on your rack — including duplicates — to see the fullest range of options. Because results are grouped by length, it's easy to scan for the longest playable word first, which is usually the highest-scoring choice.
Frequently asked questions
Does this account for blank tiles?
No — blank tiles can represent any letter, and this tool only searches using the exact letters you type in. If you have a blank, try running a search once per letter it could represent.
Does it check board placement or scoring?
No, this tool only finds valid words from a set of letters. Placement, crossing words, and scoring are up to you and your game's board.
