What this is

UnscrambleLetters.online is a handful of word tools built around one engine: an unscrambler, an anagram solver, a Scrabble word finder, a scrambler, a printable worksheet maker and a guessing game. They are free, they need no account, and they work on a phone.

How the word finding works

The word list loads into your browser once. After that, every search runs locally: your letters are counted, and the tool walks the dictionary keeping only the words whose letter counts fit inside yours. Blank tiles are handled by allowing a limited number of gaps. Nothing you type is sent to a server, because there is no server involved in the search at all.

The dictionaries

Two lists ship with the site. The default is about 38,000 everyday words, chosen so the results stay recognisable. Behind a button sits a full word-game list of roughly 178,000 entries for competitive players who need the obscure two-letter words and vowel dumps.

Definitions come from the 1913 edition of Webster's Unabridged Dictionary, which is in the public domain. They are trimmed to a single sense to stay readable, so a handful read as slightly old-fashioned. They are there for a quick check of meaning, not as a modern reference.

What it does not do

It will not tell you where to play a word on a Scrabble board, it will not solve multi-word anagrams, and it does not claim to match any official tournament dictionary exactly. For rated play, check your club's rulebook.
